Bakura was also feeling light-headed, not from lack of sleep but from hunger. He was walking around lost and quite cold wondering what to do. To go left or right? Whatever direction he could see no sign of clear activity, no smoke or noise at all. He knew he wasn’t the only person here, after all he met Arthur an Englishman a few days ago.Thinking back on the meeting he wished he hadn’t of gotten split from Arthur, they were both lost and then…..Then he also got separated from him. His stomach gurgled as he sighed.
He decided to take a left and walked slowly, not wanting to exhaust himself without the promise of food and shelter. He then started to smell something other than grass. Food? Smoke? Waste? He couldn’t quite make out what it was but his pace increased, if there was any sign of civilization with food there that would be good enough for him!
As he ran quicker and more desperate by each step he was able to see an entrance, finally a city! He then made out a figure….Someone who was very tall and wore a trenchcoat….No way, Kaiba is here?
He slowed down to a walking pace, not wanting to alert the C.E.O. in case he was busy. Getting closer he realized the Kaiba looked…well….wrecked. His hair was disheveled and he could see that he wasn’t standing how he usually did, he seemed less confidant and more..tired? Bakura couldn’t quite put his finger on what exactly looked wrong with Kaiba. Within a few minutes Bakura had a horrible thought…What if Kaiba was starving as well?
Bakura himself looked rather disheveled. It would be easy to mistake him for his alter ego, his hair not having been brushed in a while was spiker, his voice was raspier and his eyes were less wide open. It was understandable as he hasn’t had food for what..2 days now? It was very likely that Kaiba was in the same predicament as himself.
He tried to shake the thought out of his head Before approaching the C.E.O. Hesitantly he tapped Kaiba on the back and said “Hello….Kaiba?”. Bakura knew that Kaiba could be very, very annoyed or short with him considering that he didn’t look that well to begin with. He waited for a response, hoping that Kaiba would pay some attention to him even if it’s just directions to the nearest source of food.
Kaiba looks over his shoulder and turns around to see Bakura, one of the finalists in his Battle City tournament. His eyes narrow in annoyance and irritation. “What do you want, and make it quick. I am not in the mood.” He then notices that something looks off about him. Is this Bakura’s crazier half or the nicer side? He cannot really tell, but regardless he doesn’t seem the least bit interested in taking advantage of his moment of weakness. If he isn’t careful, he could faint, but he will survive no matter the cost. A nightmare shouldn’t be doing this to him, so what the hell is going on here?
He responded…well that was something. Kaiba didn’t seem concerned at all about the fact that he wasn’t in Domino City. Did he know where they were and if he, himself and that englishman were the only ones here? Regardless, what Bakura wanted to know the most was the nearest source of food here and where to get it. Holding back his curiosity about their location he decide to ask “Err…Do you know where I can find something to eat?” He thought not to ask if there was anything to eat, that could be responded with a simple yes or no and wouldn’t be that useful at all.
